Why pay for testnet ETH when faucets give it away free?
Most public faucets do still work — the problem is not that you cannot claim, it is that each claim hands out very little, with cooldowns, captchas and limits per IP and per address on top. Getting to hundreds or a thousand sETH that way means going back day after day. That waiting is the only thing being sold here, not the token. So if you only need a little, use a free faucet — it is the cheaper route. Buying is for the cases that outrun the faucets: load testing, fee-market simulation, contract deployment suites, many funded test accounts, and CI that burns gas on every run.
Which chains and currencies can I pay with?
Ethereum mainnet and Base. On Ethereum mainnet: native ETH, USDC, USDT or DAI. On Base: native ETH or USDC. The sETH is always delivered on the testnet (chain ID 11155111) regardless of which chain you paid from.
Can I get a refund?
If we cannot deliver, you get your money back. When stock runs short mid-order the order is marked partial: you receive the sETH that was available and the undelivered remainder is refunded by the same route the payment arrived. Delivered testnet tokens themselves are not refundable, but every delivery has a testnet transaction hash you can check independently, so there is always an objective record of what happened.
